At the invitation of AmCham Shanghai and as appointed by Shanghai High People's Court, judge of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, Chen Huizhen, recently gave a lecture on the judicial protection of trademarks for representatives of member units ofAmCham Shanghai. She introduced the basic situation of trademark cases in Shanghai Intellectual Property Court and the specific contents and results of the court's judicial protection work, pointed out the mistakes of right holders when safeguarding their rights in combination with judicial practice, and focusing on the application of trademark law, discussed and exchanged views with the representatives on the judgment and determination of fair use of trademarks, understanding of defense of prior use of trademarks and types of acts under the conflict of rights. This lecture was an important link of the Seminar on Authorization and Determination of Trademark Rights and Other Hot Trademark Issues organized by AmCham Shanghai, attended by more than 30 member units of AmCham Shanghai, United States-China Business Council and European Union Chamber of Commerce.
