On the afternoon of November 14, a group of nine people from the foreign intellectual property rights training class held by Shanghai Patent & Trademark Law Office, LLC visited the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court (hereinafter referred to as SIPC) for investigation and exchange. The members of the training class were mainly professionals engaged in intellectual property laws from well-known enterprises and law firms in Japan and South Korea. As arranged by leaders of SIPC, Ling Song, Vice President of the No. 1 Intellectual Property Tribunal of SIPC, received the team. Before the symposium began, the membersvisited the service center of SIPC and watched an English feature film about it. At the symposium, Ling Songintroduced to the visitors the organizational structure, staff composition, case hearing and measures taken to enhance the judicial protection of intellectual property rights of SIPC and answered their questions regarding jurisdiction scope, trial of patent cases, technical fact-ascertainment system, judicial expertise and evidence preservation of SIPC. Theyremarkedthat after this visit, they gained a deeper understanding of the judicial protection of Shanghaiand had more faithin intellectual property rights protection.
