On the eve of the World Intellectual Property Day which falls on April 26, SIPC provided open house to more than 60 people from businesses such as China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Corp. Ltd., Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute and Shanghai Electric, who came separately in three groups. The visitors were shown the litigation service center, the courtroom and other areas, and informed the general situation of reform and development of SIPC since its establishment. They also attended the hearing of an IP case. The visitors said that through the visit and experiencing the trial, they understand better SIPC’s judicial protection of intellectual property rights, and have more awareness of intellectual property rights protection. They hoped that there will be more open house events for them to know better about the court and the rule of law, thereby forming a social environment where intellectual property rights are protected.
