Teachers and Students of NYU Shanghai Visited SIPC

On the afternoon of May 10, more than 30 teachers and students from New York University Shanghai visited SIPC. Some of the students are from the countries or regions such as United States, Singapore, Russia, and Taiwan. The teachers and students visited the courtrooms and the Litigation Service Center, learned about litigation procedures and case jurisdiction, and watched the feature films and the video of a case trial concerning trademark infringement and unfair competition. During the talk, Judge Wu Yingzhe of No.2 IP Tribunal introduced the basic situation of the case, and answered the questions raised by the teachers and students about the characteristics of the trial of intellectual property cases, the scope of acceptance of SIPC, the collection and sharing of litigation costs, and the statute of limitations. The teachers and students of NYU Shanghai said that it had been a fruitful visit, and through the visit and talks with the judges, they have a better understanding of the work of SIPC and of intellectual property rights protection.
