On April 23^rd, a work symposium for intellectual property right courts (IPR courts) was held in Beijing by the Supreme People's Court for the exchanges of the organization, establishment and operation of IPR courts. Ms. Tao Kaiyuan, Vice President of the Supreme People's Court, attended the symposium and delivered a speech. The symposium was also attended by leaders from the No.3 Civil Tribunal, the Political Department, the Judicial Reform Office of the Supreme People's Court as well as from relevant departments and committees of the state, and some experts and scholars. Exchanges were conducted and speeches delivered by relevant leaders from the High People's Courts of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong, and the leadership of the three IPR courts. President Wu Xielin and Vice President Li Shulan of Shanghai Intellectual Property Right Court were present on the symposium. Mr. Wu Xielin also introduced the establishment and operation of Shanghai IPR Court, the current problems the court faced and the plan of next step.
