Sha Hailin, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress, Visited Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court (Intellectual Property Court, Intermediate Railway Transportation Court) for Investigation

On the afternoon of August 14, Sha Hailin, deputy director of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress, visited Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court (Intellectual Property Court, Intermediate Railway Transportation Court) to investigate and guide the work of the court, accompanied by Zhang Bin, a member of the party group and vice president of Shanghai High People’s Court, etc. Chen Yajuan, secretary of the party group and president of Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court (Intellectual Property Court, Intermediate Railway Transportation Court), members of the leading group and full-time members of the Judicial Committee also attended the meeting. President Chen Yajuan reported the basic situation, work summary and future plans of Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court (Intellectual Property Court, Intermediate Railway Transportation Court), especially the work related to the “cross-regional” and “professional” performance of judicial function, promotion of the reform of cross-regional court and intellectual property court and team building. Vice president Zhang Bin, on behalf of Shanghai High People’s Court, expressed thanks to the deputy director Sha Hailin for investigating and guiding the work of the court and said that Shanghai High People’s Court would continue to provide Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court with support and guidance. The deputy director Sha Hailin learned in detail about the operation of 12368 litigation service platform and the pre-litigation mediation mechanism, the role and publicity of IPR judicial protection in the building of law-ruled business climate, the trial and publicity of cases related to people’s livelihood such as food and drug safety, etc. The deputy director Sha Hailin remarked that the People’s Congress shall support and supervise the court in an integrated way. After gaining insight into the work of the court through investigation, he concluded that Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court (Intellectual Property Court, Intermediate Railway Transportation Court) firmly established the notion of “people first”, had a strong sense of serving the overall interests, applied the innovative thinking and combined the modern with the traditional to serve people in an effective way, which fully demonstrated the idea of people-oriented service and the progress in the legal construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics and also showed the advantages of our system. The deputy director Sha Hailin stressed that, we should focus on excellent service, and promote the construction of “Five Centers” and “Four Brands” in Shanghai and the implementation of national strategies and Shanghai’s overall work plans such as the holding of Import Expo and the optimization of business climate, so as to promote the construction of law-ruled government and law-ruled society, strengthen the IPR protection and dedicate ourselves to building a good legal environment; we should bear in mind the big picture, learn lessons from past experiences, identify the fault lines during work, try to adapt ourselves to the new circumstances and tasks and constantly push further the comprehensive reform of judicial systems, so as to achieve good results continuously.

Before the meeting started, the deputy director Sha Hailin and other members also visited the courtroom, litigation service center, cultural communication center and other functional areas.
